Catalyzing Communication Within Canadian Academia

IMG_3626.JPG

Submit an IdeaProposal , or Written Three Minute Thesis and help us build a new public good that makes expert knowledge accessible.

Innovation requires collaboration, and this fundamentally requires robust, positive communication. Our goal is to facilitate this communication between the Canadian public and academia by building long-term capacities within our young scientists.

We have co-founded the ‘written three minute thesis (W3MT)’ program in partnership with the University of Alberta, which challenges graduate students to share their research with the public through accessible lay-summaries edited by postdoctoral researchers. We also challenge scientists to provide proposals to policy makers, as our Director of Research, Dr. Benjamin Scott has done with Synbio Canada.
